Using Feedback Systems
The leadership network will be a highly visible group as the change effort proceeds. They will be working to change themselves as they work to facilitate change in the larger system. A system through which they can receive targeted feedback is often beneficial to support this effort. Multi-rater or 360-degree feedback systems work well as a mirror to view their actions and effectiveness.
The intention is to provide a meaningful reflection of the ongoing organization. Because the current-state behaviors are so ingrained, some people may be unaware of how they act. Feedback relative to the impact of their behavior on others and on the change process is critical for them to begin moving toward a new set of behaviors.
