Realize The Difference Between A Heating System And A Company
The only difference between a company and my heating system is that my heating system is under one master control, but a good part of a company is made up of human beings who are each thinking, goal-oriented, creative systems in their own right. Of course, this is a pretty big difference. A CEO can’t just change the thermostat and have the rest of the system components fall into line. Adjustments to human systems take a lot more effort than that. However, how we approach understanding a human system can be just as orderly and rigorous as our approach to understanding a mechanical system.
