Look At Successful And Unsuccessful Business
To accomplish radical shifts, leaders must look at areas that are totally different. Go outside the business or even the industry. Look at other operating practices, using a different set of questions than you would use for benchmarking. Evaluate successful and unsuccessful businesses. Attempt to understand what makes those systems work or not work. This can be difficult because we often don’t know the questions to ask, particularly in organizations that have significantly different operating principles. The key is to create a larger field of possibilities, rather than try to find a specific answer.
